What model# is the tag on that?

Wise Maintenance Chief of the swamp land what is you're wisdom?

Waiting on fuel tank seal, fuel pickup, top screw in oil tank screw.

May have to rebuild carb but I already have that.

I peeked into my crystal ball and saw that the tank and carburetor were in the very least a Pro mac 10-10S not an Automatic, a very good set up !
Now does the motor have a decomp under the choke button area?

Yes sir, It's pretty much exactly the same as my 700. except the decomp is black instead of red, the oiler button is green, and the obvious paint scheme yellow and black instead of solid yellow.

On the paint scheme, they all got more black parts as the runs progressed. Ive got a PM700 with black recoil, clutch cover, and oil tank cover.
Your saw is definitely a 1010 Super, if the tag is the right one for the cylinder etc.

It's got a G prefix. It should just be a regular 10-10 according to the innerwebs. But I can measure the stroke and see what I come up with. Either that or it's a part saw since I don't see the green oiler on the earlier models.

Does anyone know if the G prefix was electronic ignition? Top cover didn't say EI but it sure looks like the electric coil pack and wheel.

I didn't pay any attention to it the first time. But my brains been racking, I'm really wondering if it's a part saw.

Also, what's this plate for? Found it floating in tank when I was hunting for a screw.IMG_20210215_100942.jpg

Here's a known 1010 Super. Late model.
Looks like that saw has had a replacement cylinder if what ive heard is correct. Original would be painted with the rest of the power head.

Well guys i got more into the saw today. Discovered some bad oil seals. Been cleaning everything out. Measured the bore. It's a 10-10s.
Anyone got recommendations on new rings?

Edit: checked out the plate gain and cleaned it some more. It's a 6 not a G so the serial matches. I guess I just need to get a 10-10s sticker for her lol.

Btw the last couple of #s is what denotes the saw usually. Prefix or suffix is more like year or model run.

Replaced the broken plastic over carb with a chunck of inner tube cut to fit.

Not on those models. They are grey and I think some were black
Makes sense. If the oil tank is black, then the cylinder would be too if it was painted as a unit. Now I'm gonna have to go look...

Got the 7-10A taken apart.
Its getting rings, seals, and new rod bearings, thanks to @Steve .

Piston cleaned up ok. Rings are definitely shot.

Cylinder has some scratches in the plating on the exhaust side, but not through the plating. Its all below the exhaust port, so I'm running it.
That casting flash in the exhaust port is what caused the scratches from carbon buildup. Got rid of that and some in the intake port. Gotta get some finer paper to smooth and then polish.

Also, if anyone wants it, this 4 hp made by Scott-Attwater division of Mcculloch runs. Carb bowl threads are stripped. Nut is epoxied in.
Choke knob and cover plate are missing. Spark plug cover missing. Engine has excellent compression.
100 bucks and you give it a ride.
Offering here first.
