I gather the yellow a/f covers like mine were on the earlier ones. I'd be interested in the tag numbers for the 'Special Edition'.

Here's the pro mac 10-10 I was talking about in an earlier post. I had planned on trying powder coating on this one since a friend owns a coating business. Every time we put some heat to it the casting would seep oil. After several attempts I went back to paint!!20201023_185816.jpg

The Rustoleum is a good match for the Pro Mac saws.

For example, 10-10S SE 60111D, 60111E; 10-10S 60111B, 600111-02

I use etching primer and rustoleum in sunburst yellow. Topped off with a fuel resistant automotive grade clear
Always wondered why I liked that Sunburst yellow so much. We used to use that to touch up paint on some equipment that we built. Was a good match to the NAPA Safety yellow we sprayed on.
Pretty much a perfect match as I recall, so the NAPA enamel safety yellow might be a good option for some who dont want to go the rattle can route. Can add hardener etc.

This is something else I'd like to share with fellow McCulloch fans. The left hand starter model 10-10 non chain brake clutch covers are a bear to find. I've been repairing my damaged ones. Just some fiberglass mat and resin. I shape it and with a little filler I smooth everything out before painting.

Nice work there. I've been short on that cover for awhile too. Don't have any beaters to fix up so been using the clutch covers from RH starts on a few of my running LH start 10 series.

They still here Steve. I have sold several of my macs too...just not any yours. Some probably should kept, but others were fine to go as helping someone. It is tough to pass ‘em by at times.

I'm not so certain if a 7-10 might be on a par with a 700 .I had one for a short time I tinkered with for my deceased wifes nephew .Points ignition replaced from a 10-10 it did just fine .Fact with the points which won't over heat like the solid state units do on occasion it might be better .I know when it made to Flatrock Mich. it certainly did impress the crowds running Wild Things and 029 Stihls .

7-10 will spank a PM700, been there, done that, the issue is settled.
