I just looked, it is an auto oiler.
Currently need the Battery box, screws for the recoil on the 7-10, I would also entertain the needed parts to convert the 3-10 to an SDC. I have tank bottoms here so I would need the carb, spacer, and linkages. I'm still undecided if I want to mess with the bullfrog.
I do really want to get the electric start work, I think that is the best thing since sliced bread lol.

On that battery one of the guys in this area made one from the cells for battery drills .It's the only electric start I've ever seen .He was a lot like Mark, has more McCulloch stuff than you can shake a stick at .
Funny part about that is he hired in at where I worked,Ford engine plant .He had been there about a year and a half before I knew it .Met him three years before at a GTG .It was a big place 2.5 million square feet .

That is what I intend to do, but I dont even have a battery box. Someone removed it and cut the wires.
I have also heard Batteries Plus can rebuild them.

Robert Jackson was co-inventor of a patented quick charger (shown in Poge's attachment above); McCulloch sold the patent and reportedly made more on selling the patent than on most of the products they developed over the years.

Find a battery case. Ive heard that Sub C cell lithium batteries can be had for cheap. Those are what are used in most cordless battery packs these days. Just need enough hooked in series to get to the required voltage.
Nice score on the 7-10 as well.
Really like mine.
I never imagined id find one, let alone find a beaten up but solid runner that just needed the fuel line fixed for $20.
Gotta order a new fuel line and filter. It keeps sucking the felt off the filter element into the carb.

I've never done it because I have an abundance of 18 volt Dewalt batteries .However they say it's often just one or two faulty cells that need replaced .I think maybe couple bucks a piece .If my info is correct it's series /parallel connected .You can get on You tube and find the information maybe with luck some info on a Mac electric start .

20200730_200034.jpg Got this 1-70 recently. Couldn't beat the price of free! Its locked, but the guard over the flywheel is bent in, and i think it may just be jammed into the flywheel. Havent had time to check it yet.

I've got a locked up Super 44 Dan Henry sent me .I may soon pickle it in a bucket of kerosene for a few weeks .You'd be surprised how good just old kerosene works .Get double duty from the kerosene .Use it to unstick stuff then dip out a can full and light a brush fire .Doesn't take much .

Got another yellow dog back in the hunt today.
1010A that my dad got years ago for parts.
Guy at the shop said the coil was dead. Mac coils dont usually die. I filed the points. Taped up the plug wire with high voltage splicing tape. Cleaned all the grounds. Made sure the kill switch was working.
Robbed a needled carcass I have for a few trinkets. Got bar plates from a scrap 700.
Top handle from the parts 1010. Even had a lower handle insert and chip screen.
Had to open the low side of the carb about 1/2 turn to get it running right. Little Sea Foam in the mix might clean that out after a bit.
Starts, runs, oils nice.
Got a bar oil leak up at the manual pump, so may go into that later. 0815201333a.jpg 0815201709_HDR.jpg 0815201636a_HDR.jpg 0815201636_HDR.jpg

There's something very gratifying about getting a dead points Mac running again..., almost like a 'right of passage' to being a real Mac guy (or gal, of course). LOL

I've had one dead Mac coil in my life .After I set it in the dry for a couple of months it revived .Gave it a good coating of glyptal and forgot which saw I put it on .Had a Wico mag from a John Deere B that sat in the weather for 30 years with the cover missing.still worked .

I've unlocked a couple of motors in the past year , patience and chemicals are your friends in that department. If it's not the starter housing dont despair.
