Got the PM6A back together with the parts that Kevin, AKA Gizzard sent me. Thanks again. Runs and oils, but having a little trouble getting the carb to take a tune. Anyone know the base settings for the Walbro MDC?
Low, high, metering lever height, and popoff pressure?

Can someone give me the part number for the smaller flywheel side seal for an sp81, the large seal the fits inside the bearing.
Also looking for sp81 rings if anyone has a spare set.

I don't have access to my files right now (misplaced the darn hard drive they on). Maybe can try what is mentioned in this link for setting the metering lever. https://houseofhomelite.proboards.com/thread/2736/walbro-mdc-carburetors

Stripping down two of my donor saws this afternoon.
The first one says its a PM700 on the filter cover, but it has model #60011602. Cant find that in the model number cross reference, but the one I have is from 1977. This saw may be newer. Anyone know?
The other saw that didnt have a filter cover is a 700. Model #600061D.
Yes it's a 700 ,I have one same number. Thats a later model number similar to the numbers they used on the 4300 saw.20200131_155920.jpg 20200131_155651.jpg

The famous "eye brow " exhaust port I see .The design idea is often a well debated subject as is the actual purpose .--I'll just keep my yap shut or rather my typing finger--one .
I wasn't exactly sure what 82cc saw was gonna come my way so I purchased a project cylinder ( model airplane)thats a B casting from the same person. I bought them both for the exact retail value of the nos kit at the time he bought it .20200427_153349.jpg

Back from the PNW GTG with some additional stuff.

I will attempt to make one running 73 from these two project saws for Sawfun.

These will likely become donors for other projects.

Here is a fine catch.

And here is the most unique part...the carry case for the leads and electrode storage is shown in some McCulloch 170 welder documentation...but the rectifier...I've never seen or even heard of such a thing that I can recall.

Nice haul Mark.
So many questions.
1. What power head is used for the welder?
That would be a handy machine at 170 amps with the DC converter. I wonder what the duty cycle is?
2. What is the big orange power head for?
3. When were the 730s made, and what cu in/CC?
4. I like the front handle on the 250. Did they offer a 1/2 or 3/4 wrap bar for those?
5. Most important.
I dont see my SP125 in there. You must have forgotten to pick one up for me.:)

All the fins. I guess if it was a model airplane engine, then it would have enough air moving across it from the prop to cool it.
I think they call those RC mini planes "giant scale " .I've seen a few of them but none with a revamped McCulloch engine so far .They are a hoot to watch as some get in "dog fights " trailing a streamer their opponent tries to chew off with their prop .There's a field about 4 miles away from me . They get a lot of money in those things .

The 170 Welder is 103 cc like the 790, 795, and 940. The literature says 50% duty cycle at 170 amps AC...that might be a little optimistic.

The orange power head is a 642 Solo.

The 73 is 120 cc and were built in 1955-56.

250? Like this?

There were chrome, galvanized steel, and painted full wraps for those saws, standard on the 1-5X and Super 250 models.
