It only ran with a 28" fat bar and 1/2" chisel but the 7 pin wasn't near enough and the stock raker height needs to go way down. I may run some of the big chisel on a 36 or 50 inch bar, that is if I can get it. Good as it is, no way the SDC carb 101 will pull that.

Great work. I would love to see that thing roaring along with a long bar and the 1/2" chisel.

That was an 895 with a 58" bar. that bar is now in a Homie 900g and the 895 now has a 60" bar.

It's an Mc 70 kart engine if I'm not mistaken .If I'm correct that is one of the engines that had a extra set of transfer ports .

Cool a real old time sleeper maybe.
Leo Smith logging was his company, and he had said this was a saw he had for racing back in the day.
He was friends with my mom and dad,so it was nice to touch base with him and have a piece of his logging history.
Now he cuts splits and bundles firewood for the campers, sells it on the honor system.Keeps him busy and in money he said.

No offense to exSW, but mere words alone can not express just how bad ass Yukon Stihl's kart saw is in my opinion. Very, very cool find, like a stallion they were made to run. Enjoy it!

MC-70 Kart motor from 1963. 7.08 cubic inch.
Saw should run pretty good but not like the MC75, MC100 and MC101's.
But still a very nice find. The chassis could have been a 790.

Clutch for a Pro Mac 1000 to be had somewhere?

I have a possible swap for one (saw) but don't want to get into impossible unobtanium.

I was doing alittle research and found that a MC91 kart motor will fit in a 250. Is this true? Would it be worth the swap if so?

The MC-91 should bolt right into a 250 as they both
are not the super series motors. Would make for a
fun saw.

There come around on ebay every now and then. The kart guys tend
to buy them up. If your looking i would stay clear of any ported blocks.
