It does so by the "number" that the Hi and Lo are at. So in your case if the setting are maxxed out and can't give any more, then the computer program read this as a lean condition and can indicate so. So once you get used to seeing where normal numbers run, then you can start to tell when something is amiss. Same as if all of a sudden you have to tune two and a half turns out from normally one turn out, then you know something is wrong what you will have to find out, same as if reading the report.
So really, don't try and over think this thing because it's auto tune, it's still a saw, just whom or what is doing the tuning is the only real difference. At the end of the day a person has to get in there and find out what's going on. At least that's my take and experience with them. The internet however, it's all snake heads and chicken bones up in there...
I see.

I just bought a 562xpg from our HL supply guys. Might see it by june. Can't wait

I ported a new version not long ago, was a very nice saw from everything I could see.
The old clutch tool no longer fits, I got by with a 357/359 tool at the time, otherwise worked over the same pretty much.

I absolutely love these saws but all the ones I have owned were bought used. Plus I've never had a heated handle saw. Can't wait to get this thing in just in time to start cutting for next season

Keep your chain sharp and your filters clean and you'll be in fine shape.

carb pressure test SAT

Primer bulb fills fine
I’ve been talking with a few guys offering up opinions. The general consensus is that you need to go run the hell out of that thing for about a few tanks worth of fuel and work it hard and see what it does. If all you have is 20 inch stuff, put an 8 tooth on it and see if it gets better

I like that alternative the best.
Will do and report back.

I heard that JJ recently had his nose pierced for a chikkin bone while attending the new Stihl Super Diamond Platinum tech certification......

Find a good size log you can cut a pile of cookies from and for a few minutes or more, cut and don't stop cutting or even let off the throttle. This should get the temperature up so it knows where "normal" is, right now it's hunting for it.
Basically it's like manually setting your carb when the saw is cold and then not run good when it warms up, kinda sorta. Even a stock 5xx won't run good until this is done.

I thought that the gen 2 auto tune doesn't need to be set like that?
