Iv only had a couple on me through out the years.

If i go to bush in the summer i wher pants, pull my socks over my pant legs so they cant craw in and also where a light long sleeve shirt tucked into my pants.
What do you guys do to help prevent them dam ticks?

I dont know how you guys down south do it. Its 85 and about 70% percent humidity right now and im *f-wording miserable. Were fairly lucky to not have ticks as bad as some other places but still gotta check yourself. Its the poison ivy that gets me. Im good for at least one doctor visit per year for some that gets out of control. I take stuff called oral ivy every morning. A few drops in a half glass of water and it really helps. I still get it, just not as severely and it helps w the itching. If you get poison ivy bad you should look into it.

My wife has had Lyme Disease 3 times. I have all the symptoms of the disease, but Dr. Tells me I don't have it. ???
I usually get poison ivy once or twice a year. I go to hospital to get the shots and oral medication. Dries the poison up from the inside out. When you cut wood it just goes with the territory.

I considered taking the boys camping (real camping like tent in the woods kinda stuff) until they came home from a church day camp with a tick in them two out of five days.

After having Lyme it definitely makes you more cautious.
Um what other kind of camping is there?

I work in inside its hotter chit. So being out side is alright with me. Plus these last few days we've been in a cold snap. Only mid 80s! I avoid ticks by staying out of the woods until first frost plus you avoid all the god forsaken copperheads to.

I don't mind the rattle snakes they let you know to get the *f-word back. I chopped a copper head in half with an axe once. Part witha head kept coming for me.
If we had them around here, they'd be a leadhead when I was done. Not sure I could get close enough to one to kill it with an axe.
