Here is one of my most used saws. A crew saw my main saw. This is one that is a daily runner in the most demanding weather, wood and conditions. This sits in the back of my truck with my fleet. 24-7 Rain or shine. In well over 100 degrees plus summers. Not by choice but by necessity have to be ready to go. And no cover to park under. I have had this saw even in 5 and 6 foot wood one I can grab for all of it anything. I am doing hillside falling, stump cutting. Ripping quartering. 0 issues and unfortunately very little maintenance not proud of that but so many things going, when I get free time im on playing catchup on the farm. So my fleet has to be to to live in the west and gets the bare minimum on service. All chains are sharp. I think im on about 3.5 years of run time Steve may remember the date. But at least 3 years all weather use. One of the very best saws I have run now 37 years of cutting. My crew loves it. Im going to hit Steve up for a few more when I can....

NORM! Thanks for the words on the ported 572XP, overall has proven itself to be a tough saw in the woods, with loggers as well as tree care professionals. With a reasonable amount of cleaning, servicing and ran with a sharp chain, the ported 572XP's run well for their operators.
A new "blue" fuel filter is available for the entire 5-series of saws that should be employed when filter maintenance is called for. It has an additional magnet inside to trap even more fine metallic contaminants. The Husqvarna number for the filter is, Part #: 503 44 32-03. The use of which should give additional operational longevity to the saw.
I enjoy porting them and they are the most popular saw I do, followed up with the 562XP a close second.
Hopefully the good Lord and Husqvarna will allow me to make many more sawyers happy in the future running the 572XP for a long time. :)

@Stump Shot Steve does some very good quality work. He is NOT the hack it up, send it off to the customer, be done type of a person.

The 128 point inspection pays its dividents, we all know how the factory QC goes these days.
Agreed I know he's a legend and good friend in my book. And my saw is well known, as his name now.

OFF TOPIC:
Steve after 6 faithful years without missing a heartbeat, the SSS550mk2 went in for the AT update and the new blue filter.

Sharp 325 chain, 7/32nd file, on a 20" bar is a must for these puppies. Looking forward to another 6+ years of easy peasy operation.

I believe for the more casual(firewood type) user that should be a fairly reasonable expectation.
While it remains in the minority of users I see, there's a few that required carburetor service, with the main trouble of scum building up on the inlet screen, blocking fuel from entering. Another with the little flapper inlet valve on the fuel pump diaphragm getting kinked and no longer sealed.
Some from the covid period had bum seals that didn't last long at all, those are pretty much all dealt with by now.
The majority however have been going along wonderfully without fail.
Main thing I can say is if you do notice a run issue happening with your saw, STOP cutting, get it diagnosed, and a small repair made. If you do the "I have just one more cord to cut" mentality with your saw, it will end up costing you. It's kind of like the old Fram filter commercials on TV, "Pay me now, or pay me later"...

I agree if a saw changes on you its a red flag. Im stoked on the new filter upgrade, going to order 1.
