Must be an Aussie thing ?I'm not sure if Aussie AS member @splitpost is on this site?......But he has a 026 with a serial number beginning with 4 !

The 4 stands for the austrian factory.
I only knew battery/electric Stihl products made there in the Viking assembly halls.
This 041 has a 8 digit serial.
Those digit wont show you where this saw was assembled.
1= germany
2/5 = usa
4 = austria
8 = china
9 = not produced by stihl![]()
