I think you're going to like it.

I enjoy some mush sometimes.
Fried mush, poached eggs, bacon and biscuits. Fried chicken in a cast iron skillet. Grandparents from Arkansas, cotton farmers. Grandfather was my father after my dad past. Tough doesn’t begin to describe them.

I’ve ran 3 gallons of Red Armor at 25:1 in multiple saws with no spooge. I do run an ounce of Techron per gallon and pin it to win it, all noodling. All carbureted saws, all Husky’s, varied displacements, varied age/hours/use 55, 268, 272, 390, 395.

By no means am I an expert 2 stroke tuner, fuel, tuning, and additives definitely make a difference.

I like a smooth AV, but not a system that feels like a threesome with 2 fat chicks in a half ton.

I even beef up my small saws. I put rubbers instead of foam in all my saws, I even took a buffer from a WCS kit and used it on the flywheel side of my 261s and 661s..makes a big difference when the saw is on it's side, doesn't feel like a diving board on the bar.

Personal preference.
My stuff is old enough they’re pretty stiff anyhow 2 series huskies is about all I ever use. I don’t cut like I used to.

I'm nowhere near an expert.

Foam buffers in stihl saws suck, especially the one on the handlebar up front in the case pocket by the oil cap..they get soaked with bar oil and get as mushy as Dally's prom date, I swap them before I even fire the saw up.

I let the 362 idle while cutting or for a few minutes after making extended cuts or when I am moving branches. Ported makita 7900 doesn't have near as much.

I'm going to clean the 362 muffler when I get into the saber and see what happens.
Your 7900… Is that one of mine?

Looks like locally Quacker State at Menards in 8 oz bottles is the best price .Just right for me,4 oz per gallon works out at 32 to 1 .I suppose I could get anal about it and buy premixed at 16-21 a gallon .I'll pass on that . It's a chainsaw not a 1927 Rolls Royce nor a 1953 Vincent Black Shadow MC .
