Stopped...snapped a pic before heading into the drift...(off to the right)
(Have to say my old truck I had last year was WAY better for those type of things! The old "one way" plow could handle more depth in a drift than these new power angle things. Its a Western Start 4700 with a 475 Detriot in front of an Allison. 22,000 front, 46,000 rears. DON'T miss the 18sp as much as I thought I would!)

Weather was good so I did preemptive chimney duty.
Wasn't plugged, not much to clean, gave me a chance to see my firewood from atop.
Bucked, split and stacked some more firewood after that.

They are implemented to prevent a snow avalanche in winter.
They are legally prescribed, not having them can invoke fines and/or lawsuits.
This law has been implemented due to houses being built next to each other and snow skidding off the roof's into neighboring yards potentially endangering life and property.
A specific minimal amount of those snow retainers is specified by law!
I could have lived without them since my house stands lonesome surrounded by my own yard from all sides.
But I didn't wanna take any chances to get in trouble for not having any on my roof.
I have a whole row of those bars lined up with the chimney, that way it is easier and safer to walk up the roof to the chimney for maintenance.
Roof snow avalanches still happen.
Those bars hold snow masses back only to a certain point.
Once the snow masses exceed the retaining capabilities of those bars they come racing down even more forceful.

Put the Dolkita to work on a rather large ash that the county put down in my buddies neighborhood. I filled the bed with rounds as well. Put a nice sag in the old 1 ton springs! The 25* weather was a nice warm up!

Finished up the 346xp today! Took it out right before dark and got it fired up. Will try and get it tuned tomorrow when it should be much warmer!

Bought an new OEM 346xp cylinder/piston kit and set up an appointment with Randy to have one of my favorite saws converted from 353 to 346, and ported! I'm giddy like a school-girl....

Started to break in one of my Asian Twins (a 660), put a little over a tank through it. Saw ran well, but when I re filled it, the fuel cap started leaking. I stopped at an auto parts store on the way home and purchased (55 cents each) some O rings to replace the flat washers. Seem to be working well so far.
Was working on a very dead, but very hard, Chestnut (Rock) Oak for one of my friends who needs some more fire wood. Same place where I got my deer.

Gave a check up and mounted a bar/chain on a recently acquired 024 AVS. Took it out and bucked up some 3" logs. Split some wood with the hydraulic splitter and stacked it. Finished up a Stihl 021 but it started raining before I had a chance to try it. Then I spent some time cleaning and organizing in the shop. Probably take another half a year to complete that project but I was happy with the progress.

Did some more splitting and stacking of firewood, sorted out hardware in the shop, dealt with a tenant that's been without a furnace for several days. Also dealt with the inept propane company and my HVAC guy. (getting closer) This evening I shot a deer, skinned it and quartered it up (it's on ice) (#8 for this year and probably the last one)
