Let me start by saying... marriage is like a checking account... you must make deposits cuz you're share as hell gonna make withdrawals.... wife and buddies wife threatened us into going to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra.... (I'm so ashamed)..... it was actually not too bad... the 32oz drafts definitely helped.... cross that off my deposit list....
Hell yeah.Getting C-17's back where they belong..in the air!
Beautiful wood...you plan on milling any?Did some cleanup today, turned these cedars from this...

This might be a silly question as I've never milled anything...do folks usually let what is going to get milled set for a certain length of time, or is it better to mill sooner than later?...allows the milled boards/posts a good drying time, milled from the original stock? Not immediately, I milled a bunch a couple of months ago. The land was logged and is now being cleaned up for pasture, the loader operator picked out all the good size cedars. Better to save them than burn them. Some may end up as posts for a shed.

I know I'm hammering you with questions, lol...with new or older milled wood, do you clamp it down, ratchet strap it or otherwise, while it's drying out, aging, to keep it from crowning, warping, twisting?...or just stack it and let it go?I tend to mill it green and then stack and sticker it. All mine has either been done on a band or circular mill. I have wood in my shed that I milled close to 20 years ago.
