Cut it into portions, spiced up what I wanted for today, placed the remainder into the freezer.


Fired up my BBQ place, ground dry out & heat up took a while after yesterdays rain down pour.

I had been back and forth with a neighbor about pumping an oil tank into drums. He kept pushing it back and talking about how his wife is going to need me when something happens to him. A lot of out of character conversations and his wife had been saying that he’s falling and won’t go to the doctor. 7:28am I get a call that he got quiet around midnight and she couldn’t wake him up. I started trying to clean the driveway at the house today. 20 acres and you can’t turn a car around. No heat in the house, a hole in the roof with a tarp and stop sign, can’t get near the house with a vehicle. I got three pick up loads out today. I’m hauling with the truck until I can get a spot to drop a dumpster. September 11 I put a new furnace in the house. He said he was going to hook the duct work up. Today I saw that he didn’t touch any of it. He must’ve been bad for that long but was too proud to ask for help in the 20+ years I knew him. Now his wife gets the burden of twenty acres of anything from trash to rusty gold. Auctioneer comes next week to cherry pick and hopefully we get the heat on.

The saddest part is the help was there for him to fix this while he was still around. He never let anyone down the lane and I guess this is why.

Got some 2x10x20s cut for a guy building a pole barn. I really hate sawing 20’ boards but the footage sure does add up fast!

On today's episode of "my leaf blower ran last year", featuring a Husqvarna 125BV. So after a cleaning, new fuel line, filter & carb kit, all is well.

same guy also dropped off a Stihl BG66 to go through. it got the same treatment & a mud dobber nest removed from the muffler outlet.
