Aren't all workshops man caves?!
Well mine is a dungeon that I lock myself into for shutting out the world for at least a while.
Used to like the cooler nights, closed in with the heater going. 1970's to early 80's AM radio used to still have a few stations that played hard rock and/or album rock.
Good nights to sit and clean carburetor bits.
Butter/margarine bowls with lids for storing small stuff. Anyone remember those Mrs Filberts bowls? Nice heavy ones.

I just did that myself. But it turned out I needed 6/3 to wire my phase converter and it was perfect. Maybe this is a good reason to acquire some 3phase machines. Or that RV.
I don't want a RV but we have family that bring theirs when they come. A 3 phase converter would be nice.

Find yourself a big 3phase motor (10hp or bigger) for cheap. The control box and wiring is pretty reasonable, but new motors more than double the cost.

My uncle used an old motor to make his converter for his machine shop to run his 3 phase equipment. I don’t exactly know what you need to do to generate the 3rd leg of power but seems to work well.
