You should see all the junk I brought home the last two days..........
Tractor Supply was blowing out Reese stuff, Advance Auto has stuff I might need cheap and I got three MS290s that i shouldn’t have bought. I buy stuff that I think I’ll need. I found five 20’ 3/8 hydraulic hoses with 1/2 swivel ends in the garage with some other shorter hoses. There’s probably $1000 in hoses there. I have 4” couplers and butterfly valves that are food grade I grabbed for a milking parlor but they aren’t right. The 4” was free at least. I have no idea what the plan was for the hoses. I’m getting a 20’ container and need to start having yard sales.

Probably 50% of my stuff falls under the shouldn't have bought list, including my first marriage license.

Moved the biggest part of my shop building today. It’s been ready since last week but I caught a virus that hammered me starting Wednesday during a 400 mile tow job. Started feeling fine from home by the time I got back I was pretty done. The next couple days were tough.
Did a couple hundred miles in the rollback yesterday and that wore me out.
Felt pretty good today so the move was on. IMG_2586.jpegIMG_2588.jpegIMG_2590.jpegIMG_2589.jpegIMG_2591.jpeg
Tomorrow will test my endurance
Have over a cord of blocking to unload and place. Get the low bed out from under the building as there is a possibility of a 1300 mile trip for it in a few days.

TSC took over the Orchlens stores. When they did they closed the one closest to me. I read yesterday they are going to open one 30 miles up river in a vacant Big Lots store. It will be in the shopping mall parking lot.....right in the metro. What a joke that will be.

I did a raccoon rescue. The guy who works at the place said he usually does it but waits until later in the day because the raccoon doesn’t like to wake up early. I thought it was dead until I beat on the dumpster. It looked around like it had no idea what was going on. He said sometimes the whole family is in there.

Our power went out in a storm. Lightning tripped the fuses on two utility poles in our alley.

Power guy shows up in the dark. Removes and replaces the tripped fuses near the top, high voltage line, from the ground, with a 45 foot, telescoping pole.

In the dark. With just a big flashlight on the ground, pointed upwards.

Just like hanging holiday lights on a third story building. Takes maybe 5 minutes per fuse.

I can barely get an 18’ pole saw into the right tree, let alone thread one through a nest of live wires, and put earrings on a giraffe!

Very impressed.

Yup but there isn’t a lot in this small town.
There is a young contractor who I haul his Cat 225 excavator for every summer whenever he needs it moved.
He bought an old D7E a few weeks ago a little older than mine as his is a manual shift.
Hard worker I like to work with him.
This low bed has a manual detachable neck so by the time I have the bed put back together he has the load chained down. IMG_2536.jpeg

My dog LOVES The Home Depot!

He’s been cooped up in the house, a bit, this week, due to heat, and heavy rains.

So I took him to THD.

He started yelping, and jumping around, as soon as we pulled into the parking lot. Then he DRAGGED me into the store.

If I could get them to let me throw a tennis ball in there . . .
