Today I tore down a Kohler KT17 to replace the governor. The pistons and rings were questionable, so I started looking at all options. All that was available were OEM for $250 FOR EACH SIDE! The customer decided to just worry about the governor and stitch it back up.

Yes,it's nuts. I have a KT17 here that needs a rebuild. No wonder people just keep adding oil until they forget once and it kicks a hole in the block.

Today ..well this morning anyhow...was about getting timber out from last Dec-Jan 2016. I have a good friend with a 4x4 tractor ,winch and grab that can get in and out of the steep valley i cut in. Lovely bit of weather and all now stacked up by the house ready for some stack cutting time.

I was behind a trimmer and brush cutter, at the house for about 4 hours today. It looked like I'd been sprayed with a hose when I quit.
Did I mention, I still hate yellow jackets? It will be dark soon and I'm coming for you little sob's. Vengeance will be mine! (evil laugh goes here)

Moved my 18 yr old daughter into the dorm at Georgia Southern University today. Unboxed/unpacked everything...we hung/set up everything in her bedroom, set up her bathroom, set up the kitchen...finally got a chance to sit down in the furnished everything, furniture-wise dorm room...and just put my head in my hands and shed a few tears. The tears were from two angles...I'm gonna miss my growing up baby girl soooo much...but I'm soooo proud of her in the same regard. I'm glad she's only about 2 1/2" hours away. She won't have crazy hours to drive to get home, and the same for us parents. And yeh, by the way, she's already said 'Dad, don't you or mom (we're divorced) ever just spring a visit un-announced.' Lol...I thought that was kinda cute.

Hell, I'm thinkin' I ought to be able to drag the bass boat down there, shack up in the dorm for a few days, hit the local fishing holes, for what this chit's costing me, lol. I'll even bring my own pot pies, Vienna sausages, cans of sardines, sleeves of crackers, hot sauce, etc. Gals ain't even got to worry about feeding me.

I'm sure some of you college expense toting fellas can understand my upcoming pain. Thank God the HOPE Grant funded by the Ga Lottery ain't tapped out yet. It helps, but it damn sure don't take the sting outta things.
