Cut the lawn for one of the last times this year. Mower is going into semi retirement at mom and dad's once this season is over. The crew did excellent with their jobs.

Spent an enjoyable day yesterday visiting Doc Al!

Shot the sheet, ran some saws, watched him move some little sticks with the skidder, and then had some Pizza and Beer … a great day all around!

Luckily the rain held off a little till we played a bit.

Split 2 truckloads of firewood then ran a tank of gas thru the MOFO 361.
Finished up the mourning with moving 2 wheelbarrow loads of dirt into a hole in the yard.

Found this on Wikipedia and thought it was interesting:

"Hickory wood is very hard, stiff, dense and shock resistant. There are woods that are stronger than hickory and woods that are harder, but the combination of strength, toughness, hardness, and stiffness found in hickory wood is not found in any other commercial wood.[10] It is used for tool handles, bows, wheel spokes, carts, drumsticks, lacrosse stick handles, golf club shafts"

They also said it is NOT rot resistant, Oak wins there!

Pale rider I believe it was. Great line after a good azz woopen. Nothing like a good piece of hickory. As he put the axe handle back in the bucket.

Got some new sneakers for my ride this morning. Went with General Grabber HTS60 per the recommendation of @RI Chevy who had a set on his Duramax. So far very smooth and quiet! Just under $600 out the door.

Not today week or so ago got this thing came in at work wow it gets up and goes bit scary actually lol
It's a low k/mileage early 2000's Aussie made Ford Falcon 4 door sedan not a Cobra someone has put them badges on it apart from that it's 100% as it left FPV.
The V8 was imported from Ford in the USA not sure why they didn't use the Aussie developed V8?(I'm no V8 expert) and don't know what exactly has been done to it here by FPV but yeah it makes the ground rubble just idling!

Ford Australia did make a FPV Cobra around that time early/mid 2000's this is one (pic) these are some of the last of the true Aussie made muscle car's if you ask me but like I said I'm no expert on the matter.

Nice Will. I hope they last as long as mine did. I got 80k out of the set. I rotate religiously every 5 to 7500k...

Thanks Jeff. The place I bought them from offers free rotation every 5k.
They ride very smooth and quiet!
