Cleaned up a neighbors Bradford pear, this has got to be the biggest I've seen around these parts. He said it was about 20 years old. View attachment 260693
My pastor says Bradford Pear is good wood for turning, I'm probably about to try some for knife handle scales. Seems fairly dense to me also.

It does seem fairly dense, even with a sharp chain the sawdust was pretty fine. I normally file my rakers pretty aggressive, if I had to cut this stuff much I wouldn't run them as aggressively. Some pretty grabby stuff. It does have some spots that has some really pretty grain.

Today I did jack chit. Been off for two days for rain. Took the wife to one of our favorite breakfast joints...I had a whole mess of sunny side up eggs, home fries, bacon and French toast, she then made me slightly jealous by ordering biscuits and gravy.

But yesterday I hung our TV on the wall with a fancy full motion wall mount.

Don't mind the clutter and mess...my wife is chronically making messes and moving things for me to clean up lol we are very yin/yang here...

My first inline 3 g2 but I've rigged and worked on plenty and they're not too bad.

They have. I still prefer a good old carbureted 2 stroke though.

I should clarify.
I worked on atv/utv and watercraft.
Those came out after I changed career path so I don't know anything about their outboards.

Ahh. I hate Sea Doos with a passion. They suck to work on. Haven't messed with any of their utv or atv stuff.

Atv/utv about the same...
Mostly same "stuff" in a different package.
Most definitely not designed for the poor bastage that has to work on them.
Over complicated and shoehorned into the tightest places.

Damn shame they closed the doors. I read somewhere that Mercury was stepping in for their boat mfg obligations?
I have no clue what they're doing. And not out of business, just not producing outboards for the time being.
