mowed and weedeated my yard and my 84 year old neighbor's. Then took the kids to Lowes and we bought 24 Leyland Cypress and got em planted. Then grilled some chicken and pork.

Went to Church this morning with the kids while the wife slept after a 12 hour night shift. Played with the new to me lawn tractor and got the grass cut. Took the family to a benefit spaghetti dinner. Went on a mountain bike ride with my son after dinner. Set up an ice cream bar for everyone with my 11 year old daughter. After that I went down to the powder coat shop with @Glock37 and took care of that wrinkled paint on my 272xp!

Stripped down a eBay 51 I got, cleaned up and did a little grinding, got it back together and need to order some parts, then helped my buddy tear down and clean up his first saw (346/350 hybrid), then did a muffler mod to my 346/350 just cause...

A little back story. Bought a boat last spring knowing the trailer brakes were not working, no big deal because the dealer gave me an inspection sticker for the trailer to cover that season. Against my better judgement, I jacked up the trailer and spun the tires to check for growling bearings, and with both sides sounding good I threw a couple pumps of grease in the hubs and used it last year. Well, I have to get the trailer inspected annually in NY so I went after the brake system to establish a parts list. What I found was what years of neglect can do. Be aware, bearing buddies are handy but are no substitute for regular inspection of you trailer bearings and in particular your grease seals on the inboard side of the hub. These seals were so bad it was almost comical. Just proves that you can pump too much grease into the hub. The seals won't hold back the grease under pressure from the spring in the bearing buddy. Both sides looked like this, but the bearings are good...lol.

Yep the bearing buddies aren't what they're cracked up to be. The good news is you can get the complete brake assembly pretty reasonable and bearings/ seals aren't bad either.

Yup...this being my first trailer with a brake system I was pleasantly surprised at the price of a completely assembled backer plate. I'm converting to electric brakes for better braking control and it happens to be slightly cheaper than rebuilding this surge system because it needs a new coupler as well.

Did some yard cleanup, brought out the new to me 268XP ($5 dump saw) and cut some old pallets up,, boogered the chain on some nails and staples,, so got to try the timberline out, that takes a bit to get used to.
Burned some of the pallett pieces and had a few local (Vancouver) beers.
Got a 5k walk in to boot.

Packed up a busted Makita chainsaw, worked on and then sold a Grove AMZ66 manlift that had been giving me grief, fixed the lawn tractor and then did some mowing with it, did some flying just because, paperwork, and was vegging but now I need to fry up some striped bass for supper.

Your right it's dry. Plowed some garden week or so back. 3 16" on the 560. Had to lift a little. No sinking to the beams.
