I check it every oil change was probably a month or so ago that I looked at it. Don't remember if it was low then or not.

I have been on the road since last week. Stopped in a little town in VA to visit a fellow who I have known for almost 35 years that owns a tractor dealership. He invited me back in the shop and this was on the bench...

Really nice looking 090 that they were working on for a customer. Still had an engraved Stihl bar on it.

Worked then spent the evening trying to figure out where the fluk the antifreeze is disappearing to in the wife's Jeep. It has a very small amount on the bottom of the water pump so hopefully it's that and not burning it.
Had a coolent leak same as you describe. When running you could see it coming out the little wheeping hole in water pump. Never leaked when off .

Packing starting to give away around the shaft. Wears at an accelerating rate.

I love those loadstars! What's in it?

A 345 coupled to a 4 speed with a 2 speed rear. It is a nice driving truck. I have taken it on several 150 mile round trips.

My friend's father bought it new in '73 and used it on his farm. He also bought two '72's, both were red with the fiberglass front. Nelson sold the cattle truck last year, the other truck was used at their sawmill and backed into a shed in '74 with 50K miles on it and the motor filled with oil. We pulled it out about 1998 and got it going, put in new brakes and he later sold it at auction.

Even visited with the son of the dealer who sold all three trucks on my trip.

dad would buy huge metal stock tanks for us kids growing up for swimming in because we would destroy the plastic vinyl swimming pools.

Yes, used to haul grain and cattle mostly, licensed and inspected each year. He is selling it to buy a gooseneck dump trailer. He has had a bunch of low mileage vehicles, I sold a Chevy C-20 Camper special with 47K and his '69 'Vette he bought new has less than 50K on it.
