Spent the morning fixing a problem with my pool!

This afternoon I drove my oldest son up to our church camp where he works for the summer. The camp took down about 30 trees this year. I volunteered to cut some up for camp fire wood. The camp director told my son tell your dad to feel free to cut and take all he wants! It's a little far to haul and my truck is down right now. I did however take my hybrid with me today just in case I felt like doing some cutting and I did! Got up to the pile of logs and spotted some Ash, Red Oak and some Cherry. There was also a very large chunk of pine that I had to take a cookie off of.

After cutting some oak and cherry rounds I thought...should I fill the back of the van? Will my wife find out? Don't tell her! Well the smell was awesome on the ride home!

Push mowed the lawn cause I got the valve adjustment wrong on my riding mower. Next time... Going to have to get a new valve cover gasket because I reused the current one with sealant.

Kid you're gonna make me feel bad. I have a '64 Dodge cab for my W300 that needs the exact same treatment.
lol! Well this is the cab for my 66 so it's gotta be near perfection when done. Maybe not That far, but nice anyhow. Have a sand blaster so may as well use it! Beats trying to hand sand those hard to get to places. Have my fair share of metal patching to do as well.

Worked on the boat a bit. Got oil in lower end of the kicker motor and fired it up. It always wanted to cut out on idle so a put the tack on it and it was at 600 rpm and should be at 900 on idle. Works much bettee now. Got my mast for planer boards set up.
Then cleaned shed a bit and just taking a break now. Gotta get ready for work soon.

This weekend I started to build a roof over my wood pile at my cabin, mowed the grass, and cleaned up the area. Cut a trailer full of wood to keep filling the new wood storage. Measured and laid out the area for the fire pit and patio area and ran power to the fire pit area. Enough for the day! Cooked out and had a camp fire with the grand kids and made s'mores. Awesome holiday weekend! Thanks to those who have served so that we can enjoy the freedoms we have!

Worked then spent the evening trying to figure out where the fluk the antifreeze is disappearing to in the wife's Jeep. It has a very small amount on the bottom of the water pump so hopefully it's that and not burning it.

I'd rather haul wood in a van than mess with a pool anytime. Pools are nice , but way more upkeep than most of your "friends" that like to use it realize. They're never around at cleaning time. :(

Toss a piece of cardboard under it when you park it. It'll show you pretty quick.
