Road trip in the ol’ ‘95 F250 to bring home a gravity box. Nothing like listening to AM radio and drinking coffee out of a thermos for a half day to bring back memories of doing this with my Grandpa in this truck when it was new.

Went to work. Left work, went to the work shoe store and got a new pair of work boots to wear to work. Sounds like too much work. I wanna retire from work.
I’m ready to be done. I’m hoping to be able to retire at 57 so only 20 to go. I regret not finding a job with a pension but I guess a 2% 401k match is better than nothing.

No pension here either. Social security and part time job is the only way I'll be able to make it.

Ran to advance auto first thing then split whatever wood I have already cut up. The splitter didn’t like 16 degrees right way.

Brought in a few stacks of lumber to build a firewood cutting table.

MiniMe says “Dad, I just don’t understand why the snow is still on the wood when it’s warm in here !!” Dude, it’s been inside for 3 minutes, give it time 😂. The plan is to build it on top of a trailer I built from an old manure spreader years ago. I’ll be able to move it around and won’t have to build feet for it that way.

What did you put on? My Sierra has the t bars cranked and it was a terrible until I got Bilstein 5100s and new bump stops. The factory shocks had 176k on them.

i have a 2001 2500hd i leveled it years ago with keys only. i recently put cognito upper control arms and changed the lowers and all of the steering linkage from pitman are to idler arm bracket. i put in bilstein 5100s as well. my truck has 208k it lasted a long time before needing ball joints. so i replaced it all. it drives so much better than it did. i didnt even think it was driving poorly but it drives way better now.

I have an 04 2500hd. The front end was original up to 176k. The shop but upper ball joints in my rusted ucas be the new arms were a day late getting there and they forgot to replace the pitman arm. I should have done it myself but it was the middle of summer and after working outside all day I didn’t want to come home and fight ball joints. It’s getting engine mounts and it’s third set of manifolds next week. Hopefully it’s good to go for a while. It was my company truck when it was new and I managed to buy it in 2019 and trying to get it fixed up.

i didnt do all of the work because of time and the laying on the ground. but should have. i had the alignment shop put the steering parts in. i figure that i can rebuild the whole truck cheaper than i can buy one new.

I paid $600 for rear brakes when my caliper locked up. The bill sucks but so does tearing a truck apart in an alley with snow blowing around and freezing. I have a garage at the new place and once I’m reorganized it’ll be nicer to work there.
