Worked on freeing up rusted chains. I had water get into a large container of chains about a year ago. They've been soaking in my solvent tank since then. Yesterday and today I installed them on a bar one at a time and ran them enough to free them up. I then packed them back up for future use. These were 20", 24" and 36". Probably more than 20 of them.

Today after our church's missions conference I worked on the car's turn signal. After doing enough disassembly to access the bulb which wasn't burned out, I discovered a poor connection at a coupler. Took me 20 minutes and I could have done it in 5 if only I had known, lol. This car now has 133,000 miles and has yet to be to a shop for mechanical repairs. When I drive them off the lot, they're never going back unless it's a recall. I don't even take advantage of the free oil changes that come with purchase. I only want my grubby hands working on my vehicles.

Spent big money early morning. Cousin smoked a deer called for help, grabbed trailer, rescue mission. Both daughters and wife with him coming from a wedding. Picked him up, no entrance ramp, unless you went towards town. Would have been nice to know that, needed to turn around and backed into drainage ditch. Had to have rotator truck lift trailer and car out. No damage except pride, that's what I get for getting old.IMG_20221016_015746608_BURST009.jpg

Went and cut the last of my winter firewood for the season with a couple buddies. Filled two truck beds and my 14K dump trailer. Even took the old 038 Mag along and stretched its legs a bit. It still cuts like a champ. Sorry the pics are blurry. My phone has a cracked lense for the camera and it doesn't focus for *s-word anymore.

They say no good deed goes unpunished. Sometimes I agree.

Started pulling down another pos 261, crank needs changing because the drum bearing is made of dickcheese.

Taking a while because im more used to hva. This saw is not easy to work on. A 550 is easier.

Shot a button buck this morning with a muzzle loader and got that quartered up and on ice. Then visited with my son and his wife who came down from Atlanta for a few hours and we celebrated their 5th anniversary. I still have one more week of "light duty" before I can get back at it. I'm tired of sorting hardware...
