Yup, you got it Mason. I was surprised to find how much smoother running the 064 was compared to the 066. Maybe because of the smaller lighter piston?064, 066 and 288.
I noticed it too. I think your right it’s because of the lighter piston.Yup, you got it Mason. I was surprised to find how much smoother running the 064 was compared to the 066. Maybe because of the smaller lighter piston?
Went out to the beach today…saw this beautiful piece of redwood driftwood last time I was out there. Decided to bring a saw this time. Hooray 288!!
I had one more big slab cut…but an older couple asked for one…so I obliged.

hard to see but 3 of 5 rivets have cracks above them, the splines in the hub are wore badly. splines on the driveshaft have slight wear as well but not bad enough to replace it (plus a new one is $200).
the fingers on the independent PTO clutch basket (soaking in the parts washer) are badly wore out as well, once again from lack of maintenance. so $95 for a new one of those (ouch) but it needs replaced bc I plan to mow with this tractor.
