Did they get the coil wiring? Those coils for those motors are pricey

The only wires affected are the ones for the on-off switch.
After cleaning up the coil and flywheel, the unit seems to have great spark!.

OEM 660 cylinder & piston kit showed up this morning before I left for work. I wasn't too happy when I saw the condition of the packaging.

Stihl and/or Bailey's could've shipped it inside of another box & UPS shouldn't have played kickball with it Stihl could've packaged the piston/rings/pin & clips better also, resulting in less scuffs on the piston (nothing major just my Machinist OCD). This is just very disappointing after spending $500 for OEM quality.

it's sad that aftermarket stuff gets packaged better.

picked up my oem parts before work today, just got home & man I can't win for losing this week... my MMWS cylinder is for an 064 not an 066/660 @Gentleman could you help me out?

So I got the generator running and its producing power....
Question I have is there seems to be a slight miss while running.
There is No load on the generator while making this video.
Anyone have a clue to what is happening or is this normal?

FYI, New carb on this unit

tore the 650 apart, finding 11 years worth of firewood cutting under the hood. I had to grind some casting flash off the outside of the new OEM 660 cylinder so I could get it bolted up. now checking some port timing before I mess with it & (if I did this right) here's the #'s I'm getting...

.5mm base gasket, .027" squish
Intake 80°
transfers 121°
exhaust 95°

so 26° of blowdown

feel free to correct me if that doesn't sound right.

I made 14mm & 12mm to 9mm bar adapters to fit Dolmar/Makita 9010 front studs.
I still need to turn down the 14mm studs to 9mm.

cleaned up, new fuel line, filter, impulse line, spark plug, plugged decomp. fired up on the 3rd pull & it's snappy.

today was the day that we delivered all of the food boxes that put together over the last two weekends. we delivered to 288 needy families that was very gratifying. then in the way out i stopped and offered to cut up a pretty big oak tree that is laying on its side the the front/side yard of the house right across the street from the farm where we delivered from. that lady was shocked that i didnt want anything in return just offering to help.

It's only about 42° here but I spent some time heat cycling & burying the 28" skiptooth with an 8 pin. I ran almost a gallon of fuel thru it.

mother of god does it pull hard.

Not a whole hell of a lot today. Got the gas leak on my Mr Heater repaired and got it running again. Just needed to reseal the inlet connections. Haven't been feeling so hot this weekend so I've been relaxing a lot.
