my HL Supply order showed up last night while I was at work. the mmws CP cylinder is definitely beefier than the meteor & has a little bit more casting flash to clean up. bores looks great in both, but the meteor has a better looking squish cut. I'll post more pics later, I'm running on 3 hrs of sleep & need a nap.
been a busy day of trimming trees, cleaning rain gutters & leaf blowing/mulching and even washed my truck since it went from 24° to almost 50° here today...
finally got around to getting a couple pics of the cylinders. the first thing I noticed is the fin thickness on the Meteor making it considerably lighter.
Meteor cylinder: Both outside & inside finish looks really damn nice. Theres a couple ports I'm gonna touch up the bevel on but not a lot of casting flash to clean up.
MMWS CP cylinder: It has a small step on the squish face close to the cylinder wall, I'd say it's a .005" to .008" so I'm definitely gonna have to be more cautious of squish with this cylinder. Otherwise, the ports look good & don't need much bevel work. I am going to clean up a lot of casting flash tho. I wish the outside looked as good as the Meteor.
Here they would be called a Northern Pike.
Do you also have their bigger relative? What we would call "muskie" or muskellunge?

Yesterday morning I put the block off plate back on my mower and chopped up leaves. Went to mom and dad's in the afternoon and had a fire with them and a nice meal together.
