Thanks I'll check them out.View attachment 305071
I’ve had two Glocks done now By this company and couldn’t be happier
Yeah did some mods to it years ago. I didn't do much to it really hit it with me dremel here and there. It does not have any timing advance left that stock.Nice! Sounds like it's had some work done to it.
Rouge ..... dino oil ..... think of the children......Cut a ute load of some small Red and White Peppermint today with my 088 for a bit of fun .404 rs rips in clean green wood.
Peppermint isn't a great firewood the red burns the better of the two but it's fun to cut being what I'd call a soft hardwood.
Think the saw might need a carby kit it wanted to die a couple of times like it was running out of fuel. I don't think it was vapor lock it wasn't hot out we ain't even in spring yet.
Saturday I had the recently rebuilt MS461 to test and several maintenance chores to finish on my 1950 Cat D2, so in order to get it nice and hot before resetting the valve clearances, I hooked the snig chain up to a couple of well-embedded logs within my pile so I could better access them for cutting. I was blown away by how much this little old tractor can pull! In first gear it sits down and grunts, and when it loses traction it digs some BIG holes. The 461 tested out well and will be on the market this week.

Nope, I found it through my cousin's worker who used to operate it many years ago on a farm near Gore in Southland. He knew I was looking for one and put me in touch with the grandson of the original owner (who had no idea how to start and run it). It was the family's pride and joy and was used for cultivation on the same farm all its life and was always shed stored. It's only done 3943 hours since new, and is completely original! It got featured in the Antique Caterpillar Machinery Owners Club's international magazine for this quarter because of the rarity of finding a tractor in that condition with so low hours. It starts and runs absolutely beautifully, but I do need to dismantle the rear end at some stage to tighten up the cone bearings on the rear axle, as they are a bit loose.Very cool old Dozer did you do a restoration on it.
Just a heads up as tempting as it is don't take it in the bush to snig logs out with no canopy. You only have to bump a dead standing tree and limbs will crash down on ya.

Yes, I'm aware of the danger of 'widow makers' and don't intend to use it in the bush. I do have some big Eucluptus to pull over, but they're out in the open. Here she is cleaned up and with the bonnet on, all original paint and decals.
