I was going to use my Altec Whisper Chipper (a misnomer for sure) but I wound up working on it for a while instead. Repaired a fuel leak and coolant leak. It's good to go now. I did some brush cutting around our place while Groundi mowed grass. Since we got a zero turn, she still thinks that's a piece of recreational equipment. Next week we'll chip up the trees/brush we cut down yesterday. I also got her saw back online. (I had to rob some parts off of it temporarily)

Nice! What did you think of it?
Really like it and I didnt go easy on it, but very early days, its only had 1 tank through it.
Ran great with a 20" and would easily run a 24 in aussie hardwood.
Very smooth running with a lot less vibration compared to my 281xp.

Bucked up a dead Ash log for a friend (Jeremy in CT) with my MOFO Hybrid. First time I've "leaned it out a bit" since it was re done, and it ran real well!

Bucked, split and noodled about 7 large rounds of turkey oak so I can fill my firewood rack and "close it up".

Then I went on a filling spree and round filed/sharpened the following:
- 3/8" 56DL full chisel full complement Dolmar 099
- 3/8" 72DL full chisel full complement Archer
- 3/8" 72DL full chisel full complement TriLink
- 3/8" 72DL semi chisel full complement TriLink
- 3/8" 84DL full chisel full complement Windsor 58A

I am done for today, will try and get some sleep before I go to work, night shift.

Today my 20inch .325 1.3mm bar arrived took like 1.5month

i was the first to order it, never imported before so the system code now opened in my country

by the way Stihl Pro .325 1.3 chain is the best factory razor sharp chain ever hold in my hands

nothing to do with the usual 3/8-404 annoying gullets

and better than factory square grind of my RSL chain

now just waiting the new Stihl Hexa chain AC114993-9AE2-4A20-95A6-750164B18482.jpeg

You could have gotten those bars off eBay, they have been there for a long time already.
I got a couple for @jmester a year ago or so.
German seller, fast shipping both orders.

kind of stopped ebay due to ridiculous fees for both seller/buyer

we got the 18inch and Stihl pro chain a year before

but nobody knew or requested the 20inch

saved myself more than 2 kilos from changing chainsaw during climbing

this mmws 261 just flies within wood

Finally installed the Chinese brush blade on my Stihl FS110. I ordered it some months ago and today I put it to work. It cut well for about 7 minutes and then I took it off and tossed it as it had destroyed itself. It was thicker than tin foil but not much. I hit a sapling with it and it took on a different shape. Lesson learned. I still have the special washer and nut though so it wasn't a complete waste.

So then, I decided I was going to make my own brush blade. I took a 60 tooth 10" carbide table saw blade and with much difficulty got the center hole from 5/8" to 1". I installed that and wowza, been buzzing through brush and sapplings a couple inches in diameter with no problem. I need to be really careful with rocks though as we have a lot of them on this property.

I fixed the oiler on my highly modified Stihl 039 and also sharpened the chain on the 026 that I dulled yesterday while cutting up a cherry tree and some oak branches.

Started clearing a building site for a barn I'm wanting to build yesterday. Had all the fun stuff in action, including fire...lol.

Here's a few pics....

The oak is gonna be firewood. The pine I'm taking to a local mill, & having it milled into the siding that is going on this building...

Had a small job this am and of course due to sheer laziness on my part it took forever. Dull teeth and a Cutter head drive belt that needed some attention made a 45 min job and unbearable 2.5 hrs.
So I replaced the Cutter head belt, adjusted every belt, switched out the stock 16 tooth set up for the 6 Greenteeth set up.
Hopefully my next job will be faster and more profitable. I need to hit the lottery and buy a 40hp diesel machine with a hydraulic blade. Till then the little old girl will have to do…51B695F2-6E7D-4FB2-84AC-7596CCD5036E.jpeg91485566-C40C-4592-9648-BF59D4BC47EF.jpeg37273DE8-2CA7-4847-8B4E-C8673BB5F1F9.jpeg
