If you need a PTO side case I think I might be able to help you. I'll have a look when I have a chance. I popped a new piston in this old beauty today:

Nice.
You get your Meteors from SES? Be interested to know compression (looks like we have same Ampro tester) Mine pulled 150 cold this morning before that job. And, whats that goo on the case to HiTop surface bro? Mine is all worn away from the loose top cover vibing away the alloy.

Dropped, limbed and bucked 4 medium size Red Maples and one Norway Maple at my friends house this morning. I do all the saw work and luckily he handles all the brush and stacks the rounds. Some had to be tied.

Used 4 saws, my Asian 440 Big Bore, my MMWS 261 and my 2 ported 462s (one by Randy, one by Doc, one w/20" one with 24"). My Asian 440 Big Bore runs well, but when you go from that to one of the ported 462s … the 462s are lighter, smoother, and stronger.

The 261 (Ver II) is always refreshing to have for the limbing when you are starting to tire! It is just refreshingly lighter than the other saws, and runs very well. Those Red Maples have lots of limbs!

Yesterday I made a Hickory top for my Table saw bench, and on Sat went hiking with the Grandkids and Scouts on the NY/CT border.

Yes, always get them from SES, great value for money and NZ owned to boot. I will check the comp for you, but I will say the cylinder is quite worn so I dont know how it will come up. No 'goo' there at all, just the alloy surface machined flat.

Mishimoto huh? Radiator or Intercooler upgrade Mike?

Just the radiator, after 14 years it was seeping. The new one is supposed to have 25% more cooling. The car seems to run a little smoother with it, had a bit of pre ignition previously.

After fixing a small oil leak from the gasket holding the oil filter (which has an intercooler) and replacing the radiator, the car feels like new again, smooth as glass! With all the computer controls and VCT, etc, these stupid little things seem to make a lot more difference than they used to.

Delivered 1/2 cord of last year's wood to someone who wants it for summer fires for the kids, then dropped, bucked and limbed another Red Maple.

Decided to only use one saw, so the MMWS 462 with 20" light bar got the call … it is the perfect "one saw" for both limbing and bucking.

The trunk was almost exactly the max diameter the 20" bar would cut.

Well here's the compression, I must say I'm surprised with only a minute or so running time:

Checked out a brush cutter, found the defect and negotiated a spare parts unit between two unrelated parties with the goal to make one working unit out of the two.

Generic cheap Chinese made units, no point in trying to fix any one of them with new parts.
Whole new units are about 70$.

Finally finished putting my old ford back together today. Mostly new valve train the only thing left is the valves keepers and guides. Comp 35-512-8 cam and matching springs. Nightmare finding the correct pushrod length for exhaust side even after using the measuring tool they were too long and had to use pedestal shims to get the right preload on the lifters. Only way to get the length I needed was custom pushrods which I wasn’t paying for!
But with the motor stripped down as far as it was I went ahead and did freeze plugs and motor mounts as well as oil pan gasket.
Water pump since I was already that far down. Balancer was loosing rubber.
Tomorrow I’ll be doing ac compressor condenser and accumulator. Then put it under a nice long vac after flushing lines and evap core.
Truck runs almost like a whole new truck with all the work done.

Always found it easier myself to just build the motor and order the push rods last. Most times nothing off the shelf was ready to drop in. When your running top girdles and/or rev kits all that shimming gets old fast on shaft mounted systems. Pairs and independent rocker set ups preset less of a problem. The oil hole timing is crucial for road use imo.

The pushrods ended up being the last thing ordered. This was a mostly stock job with the exception of replacing the cam the ford performance lifters were cheaper than buying factory replacements. The only reason I had to change pushrod length was because of the smaller base journal on the cam. I do like the fact that it’s a factory roller motor. The block stayed in the truck during all of this work.
AC now blows cold again! 15 min vac hold test then 1 hour vacuum run on system since I flushed the evap core. Ended up replacing the manifold hose when I noted oil at one of the crimps inspecting it getting ready to flush it out.

when I went to take the heads off the second head bolt passenger side under the valve cover was finger tight. All others had plenty o torque by the sitting on core support on knees breaking them loose torque measuring method. I don’t think that one ever got run down.
