Ran tank #6 thru the MMWS 461 today.
30 to 40" oak trunk.
The saw is getting stronger, tuned at 13.9 to 14.000 rich.
This thing wants to run about 14.200.

I took my time and carefully sharpened a 28" loop of RS
This saw eats wood with a sharp chain.
The saw is great and i feel great cause i made a sharp chain and didn't kill it thru a whole tank of gas.

I can remember computers using punch cards
Computers have probably gotten easier since then.

I learned to punch the oaktag cards at college, we had to write and run a program with them. Then in 1983, I got a Kaypro 10 (CPM operating system) and started doing taxes on computer. I could understand that stuff better than this new crap! Windows stuff keeps changing w/o rhyme or reason!

Ran my XS5000 in some ash with four different chains , made a couple videos.

Ran my PS-7900 with 36" B&C bucking beech.

Split whatever I bucked, tossed the wood into my "wood box" and cleaned up my work area.

It was a productive and fun day.

Sitting on the ground in Yakutat

Alaska Airlines 737 had a problem in route from Juneau to Anchorage

No jet qualified mechanic in this “town” of 650 people so we are stuck for quite a while

All part of living and flying in Alaska

Top was a little bubbly so sanded it down and glued fabric with rubber strips. Back has a notch to store cables and things. Raised it up a good bit and makes typing easier.

My father got an Alaskan sawmill for Christmas. He and I took it out for the first time today with a fresh overhauled MS660. We both had a great time with it. We milled 2 slabs 7 1/4" thick. I asked him how long he wanted the first one, he said "cut it in 1 1/2' sections so I can make wooden bowls". Well, that's what he wants, that's what he got.
