It was my wife's grandfather's, it will mainly be used for backup heat and below 20 degree nights. It made the wife happy to have her grandads stove put in her house. So plus 1 for me

My heat shield was 4" block covered by Bluestone (my upstate property has an abandoned quarry).

Used to have my wood stove there, replaced it with Natural Gas.

It's OK, has glass and fake logs, everyone thinks it is wood, and no mess! Plus, the milli volt thermostat (run by the pilot light) turns it on and off, so I have heat even in a blackout … what could be better!

Up at the cabin, headed there tomorrow, opening day is Sat. Plus, I cut for my Daughter and others. Do over 20 cord a year, plus playing with the saws, building furniture and milling … keeps me out of trouble!

Tough to keep up with the stove (and the mess) when you are working 7 days/week in Tax Season!

Buried the 28” for a few tanks then just for fun put the 20” on. Never had it on the 462 (I keep a 24” on her), forgot how fun a 70cc is with a 20”.

Finished up stumps last weekend I think I cut over 140 stumps in all .over half were 3 to 5 foot in diameter at base around seven gals of gas few jugs of bar oil I used Archer chains so I sharped them till cutting crooked n got a fresh one
