I've posted this before, but here it is again. Both upstairs and downstairs are 20 X 24 w/o any posts in the middle.
Side posts are 12' with 20' beams at 8' height. Second story is 4.5' on the sides, and 9' in the middle.
The braces were made from the side slabs cut to make the post + beam.
We used 4" angle iron, 1/2" bolts, and 3/8" lag screws to put it all together, beams are inlet 1" into posts.
Center posts are 17', with slots cut for ridge beam (27' with 1.5' overhang front + back). Ridge beam is 9.5" X 3".
These pics still include some temp braces that were not yet removed.
