Almost done making a hot counter for my kitchen. Yeah this has been 4 months in the making now because of trying to find time to do it!
These are the brackets that I hand forged free hand on my anvil. There definitely not perfect.

Here's the counter top. 1/4" plate 5' X 18". I came up with the idea of a hot counter because of taking hit stuff out of the oven and not having anywhere to set it. This way you don't need any truvits. Drilled 119 holes in the top because it's going over top of my radiator in my kitchen and they are holes sonthe heat can circulate in the winter time.

Thanks man. I gotta say that I had it pretty easy though. I spent a lot of time on the tractor and Joe spent a lot of time in brush. Just the way it worked out but I owe him one.Nice work XP.
NYH1.

The new HF Solar Panel had the battery fully charged, and we hooked up a new HF inverter to replace the old burned out one, and had lights again!
I believe the Flower is Red Trillium, they were all over the place!
I love this cabin. Thanks for posting.
Thanks, it is Mtn Top 2 mi in on a 4WD road well off the grid, overlooking the Cannonsville Reservoir near Hancock NY.
It is 20' X 24', 2 stories, post + beam construction from 6.5" X 6.5" Ash milled from trees that were blown down on the property (50 acres) using a $29 Beam Machine!
The outside is just stained CDX plywood (5/8) with cement board around the bottom to stop the Porcupines.
It was a lot of work, but it kept the cost in check. We still need to put a floor in. Heat is from a air tight 55 gal drum stove kit. (I re used my old Sotz kit I used to heat my house with).
