Got in from Michigan about 2am. Spent much of the rest of the day doing paperwork, paying estimated taxes, paying bills, doing banking, sorting through accumulated mail, opening packages that arrived during our absence and other mundane activities that I dislike... House was cold when we got back and we've been running the wood furnace hot to try to get it warmed up. Almost there. We made pretty good time on the trip although it was rough going with a snow storm ongoing when we left the state. Then it was wind and rain and then just wind but a lot of it. When we arrived in GA everything was wet and puddles everywhere. Apparently some weather went through there too. Vehicle ran without hiccups and no flats so a good trip overall. lowest gas price was in TN at $1.39. Didn't buy any saws on this trip. Even I'm surprised.

Went to work and replaced injectors and cups in a D13 Volvo. Did a top set valve adjustment and diagnosed a plugged EGR cooler on the same truck. Had to leave early and pick the kids up from school. (Buses canceled but we sent the kids anyway) Came home and loaded up the wood furnace and then hopped on the snow blower for an hour or so. Making supper now and then I'll be sitting on my butt the rest of the night.

Went to the local dealer to pick up parts that weren't there. Guess my time isn't as valuable as theirs.

Got the last of the new lights installed in the house. Just need to get pictures on the walls, kitchen cabinet valance touched up and a couple floor touch ups and this reno is done. Then all that's left is paying the bills.

I delt with kids and kept the wife happy while she was shopping for a dress and other good looking items. Wish I was working every day or being left alone to tinker and fix chit. Can't wait for my spikes to come in so I can do some cheep no haul removals and get out the house

I finished putting together an 026 that's been in a box for 2 years. Last thing before FINALLY hearing it run, put the bar and clutch cover on and.... the cover in the box is from an 025 type series. It was a complete and correct saw 2 yrs ago. Now I have to dig through everything.

The 026 will fit the same cover as pretty much any Stihl saw larger than it.

How do you get into trees now? Ropes? Crane?

I use the 2 to 1 ratio pursik and slack tender. Have a foot assender that I use once in a while. But spikes are a investment that will pay them selves off real quick on removal
