Humble mod, works nicely for me and my PS-7900.

Uncrimp cold with side cutter pliers (works nicely, left crimp at an angle under 90° for easier recrimping)

Enlarge all existing holes and ad a few more (I didn't want to remove the birdcage entirely)

Looks like something that needs to go back to the drawing board!

That doesn't look like a improvement for a PS-64xx/73xx/79xx.
The genius behind this has declared that this “keeps the benefit of the scavenging deal in the muffler”. He has a pretty sweet thread goin on it right now on AS. Same guy had a thread about putting a sparkplug in the decomp hole of a saw....
