The west coast kit has that "skid plate" to protect the cases. Early 394's don't have provisions for the skid plate, though you can drill the holes and tap.

Yes I believe so, it bolts to the AV buffer on the oil tank, that should hold it in place.

064 I did last winter. Stainless tube and baffle removed, 660 front cover. Love the way it sounds and has really good throttle response.

Started doin the muffler on my 038.
Thinkin about blocking off the stock one on clutch side. Not enough.room to put a pipe so i did two on other side.

Will post some more pics when it back on the saw in a couple days.

The 920 muffler is a bluebird school bus handle off the front seat and the 2152 is stainless pipe .750 od. I use 45% silver solder to put those in.

I blocked off the one factory outlet so it wont blow on the clutch side and turn it any browner. Dam stihl are bad for that lol.
