Dont worry, chris(pa) has his back LOL
Don't get how he states 275 comp, then states 225 comp, then a pic of a gauge at little less then 200 comp. Sounds way rich and wouldn't clean up til 3/4 way through cut. My ears don't hear 15k... but if he put tack on the drum it's gotta be accurate.

Audio wave form thermodynamic analysis and subatomic gamma ray deciphering shows the tangential hyperbaly corresponding with the gross hypotheses which you surmised ....... she peaked at 18,999.99 rpm
You can say that again....

Anyway...here it is. I really like the exhaust note of this one. Nothing special really but the shape of the deflector makes it easy on the ears.

1105171655.jpg Couple 261 muffler mods i did yesterday.i opened factory port up some more with carbide grinding wheel.then tigged a piece of stainless pipe in front.i was gonna put on side but the exhaust i would be afraid would get hot on keft hand if doing a felling cut.

I personally don't like any muffler mods that fire directly at the tree, to me it's rebounding heat at the machine and throwing exhaust gasses back at the operator.
Even if on the side were do you think it throws it.with a deflector on it

It's glancing the tree instead of colliding with it. That is why I prefer the tubular exits, the exhaust can truly be directed where desired for the most part.

If you say so.i know my 044s 036s 361s have husky dflectors on recoil side and my 064 is factory dual port when there buried to the felling spikes. And tree is wider then your saw no matter what the heat bounces off tree and you feel it so ok.

They are required on state land for reduction of sparks to prevent potential fires. They also keep crap out of the muffler as well. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
I dont cut on state land.look how many guys on here have ported saws with no screens with there muffler mods.
