If that was a round chain I would say that needs a bit more hook. But I am square illiterate.

Nope. Ran perfect on my 261cm with an 8 pin rim.
Didn't have to lean on it at all. Self fed pretty good

Your hybrid is powering through the aggressiveness and raker height of the chain. Give it a couple degrees or forward lean or a couple swipes off the rakers and it'll hook up. But it probably won't be faster than 3/8 in bigger wood. It's been tried

I guess I'll have to find a different way of comparing before and after porting power than using stock set (or near stock) chain. I could tell when stock and definitely when muffler modded that this 201tc had plenty of power to run a more aggressive chain. However, people don't borecut and do precision work with aggressive chains. Anyway I could not tell much difference, other than a half second gain, in the big log cut over a MM because I had to lean way too hard on the saw meaning power is wasting into friction heat.

I guess I'll have to adjust a test chain to be as aggressive as stock can handle first, then test ported with same chain, then see how aggressive the ported saw can handle. OR, probably the best option: just use a longer bar and bigger wood, but then there's oiling issues. And, consider in the work place, if a 16" bar is the standard, as is a certain depth gauge setting, then it is  possible to have too much (or more than necessary) power.
