31.85 seconds. 395 is bone stock other than muffler deflector opened. Still has baffling and screen intact. Wood is some black birch, which is a very very hard wood around these parts. Not much softer than hickory. Other than the little defect on the far end it was like cutting a rock. Same 28” 7 pin full comp on all 3.

What all was done to the Cross cylinder on the 066?
What I was told is some portwork and 102/120/80 are the numbers. Intake filled. I personally think the saw would gain with the exhaust raised to 100, try that and see what happens I guess. Has torque, needs a little rpm. At least this is my opinion going by feel. I’m not a professional porter to give advice on that. Lol

Funny, but I recall a stock 395 at the CT GTG that was not even close to either Jeff's or my 660s (which were both ported) in the hardwood (maybe it had the wrong pin on it for hardwood).

Mason, one of my "ported Cross 660s" had #s similar to that, so I ripped it apart and "fixed it", and now it runs well.

The longer stroke 660s (compared to 460s and 440s) often like a higher exhaust and lower intake. I have removed the epoxy from the intake on two of them so far. Maybe we should have a mini get together and I'll bring them over.

All I can do is test and test again... the results are what they are as video proof shows. Same b/c and sprocket. Reported back to the owner what the cylinder needs and will be interesting to see what happens when I retest it against the 064. This wasn’t an attack on the 660. I had a feeling it was going to be slower, but that’s the whole point of the testing. So I can improve it and maybe get advice from people out there like you guys have already done. I would like the 660 to end up with the nice fat midrange powerband of the 064. That cuts the best in my opinion, not a super peaky rpm saw or a all torque and no speed saw .

Good plan Mason! I got my saw together today but am missing a few bits. I hope to get ot running tomorrow. Maybe a video later in the week. Cant wait to see how my numbers run!
I’m definitely interested to see how yours runs, are you gonna compare it to anything? I think I saw you had a 064 too somewhere lol :).

Ya I got one of those somewhere...[emoji16]! If I have no issues with it I may take it to Tennessee and give it a workout!
