Could be chit, could be too much chain.
I need to get a muffler and tune it.
It went together and fired right up, I just wanted to cut with it.

That’s a small saw pulling 18” of 3/8” full comp in hard wood and making big chips.
I’ll get more videos soon.

Any saw can be made to look slow when maintaining that strong of a load on it.

I realize that fellas, hard to tell how a saw runs or feels from a video. With the right chain, muffler, and tune it might be a runner. But ya gotta admit... that vid didn't do it any justice.

I’ll get her tuned right and out of that nasty crotch wood soon.

18” 3/8 on a 2253 in maple. Muffler mod and timing advance. .325 is a tad faster on it I think, but have not compared the two chains directly in the same log. But no problems pulling or oiling this 3/8 setup and it lasts longer.

That 55 sounded good till it got so much load on it. It was being pulled down right to clutch stall. With a super aggressive chain like that you may jave to hold it up/back a bit to keep the revs up in the powerband. How well did the 028 piston fit?
