This jug is not going lower unless I relieve the pop up.
Original squish was .048
Used a factory base gasket and 028 super piston.
Crown was 0.142” higher than oem.
I’m at .022” squish now.
I cut a lot from the band, didn’t drop the jug at all.
If anything, there’s still some exhaust width to be had. Mayhaps that would be a benefit with only 17.5 degrees blowdown.
Sorry if I missed it, is it a closed port side fed cylinder?

How much did you raise the ex Dave? Where did it land after band cutting?

Would have been nice to have a baseline. Never ran a 55. I bought this one scored.
These were my notes.
Keep in mind I had originally planned and ported for a stock height piston, planned on deleting the gasket.
028 super piston came in later.
With impulse routing, didn’t seem like a great idea to use motoseal.
The timing numbers top right were after porting.
I know I timed it stock but didn’t write it down, wanted to tear it down.
I changed the transfers after I changed pistons.

Raising the squish .14 for the 028 piston should have lowered the exhaust a lot. I’m confused ...

I just referred to a conversation I had with @David Young , he referenced the piston as .041” taller.
That must be it, an error on my part.
That looks correct. Meteor lists comp height as 19mm and 20mm. By doing the popup, you maintain factory ex and transfer height.
