Id rather run the lighter higher rpm saw vs a 8809 pin 3/8 works well with a 36" bar on ported 880's and 8 pin on 50" bars buried in pitchy Doug Fir. The only problem is a ported 395 works just about as well.
It's the guys user name. 390 cylinder. I've ported 4 or 5 cylinders and used my 385 for all of them so I had to start labeling them.Nice Mike. What exactly is a logger 450 390?
You should give an RWJ a holler.
It's an oversized carb from the 372 x-torq. It's basically what you end up with if you completely hog out a wj39 to the limit.I don't know about a rwj.
What's it off of?
Here's Don's poulan pro 505 making the first cuts after port work. Running the same bar and chain as the video before.
After all other mods but before any port work:
After port work:
I've done 3 this past 2 weeksWhy doesn't anyone sell ported cylinders W/ pistons using a saw stripped to the case to get the right port #'s. And then sell the ported cylinder and piston to someone to install and tune. Would that be a bad idea
There are people who do on ebay. There are quite a few members who will grind a cylinder without the saw if it is something they have good experience with. Why doesn't anyone sell ported cylinders W/ pistons using a saw stripped to the case to get the right port #'s. And then sell the ported cylinder and piston to someone to install and tune. Would that be a bad idea
