I've done probably 8-10 this year like that. They all went to people active on the forums that do their own repairs and most get a base gasket instead of sealant.
That would be the only way to do it is to know who it is and know that it's put together right incase something happens.

3 saws I have rebuilt recently
First saw is bog stock 038 running about 160 psi and 12500 RPM
Second is 038 with gasket delete and some port work and muffler mod running 180 psi and 14800 RPM
Third one is my 10mm 044 with gasket delete, some port work and muffler mod running 175 psi and 14800 RPM.

both 038's have identical new 3/8 semi chisel chains
the 044 has 3/8 full chisel.

I ended up doing a bit of work on tuning the ported 038 and got it going better and I recon if it had the same chain as the 044 it would have been close for sure!

A mates 394 I have rebuilt. I kept it mildish as requested by the owner. Light porting and muffler mod to help it along a bit. Running 30" 3/8 full chisel, 180 psi and a bit over 13000 RPM
My 064 built from junk yard parts, ported running 28" 3/8 full chisel, 185 psi and fat at 13500 RPM. I love this saw!

All saws in this video and the one above are running 7 pin sprockets in this dry hard timber.

I didn't realize my daughter was filming me get them tuned up haha

Don't know what kind of wood was in that 1st vid, but the bark looks a lot like our Shag Hickory!

Nice job on the saws. How does the weight of the 038 compare to the 044?

Your daughter was all smiles in that selfie at the end LOL.

Saws sound awesome. Im sure video do them no justice! Someday I'd like to add a 90 cc class saw to the herd.

Al you been messin with 262s enough you coming to the dark side? The 026 is the signature MOFO saw but the 262 seems to have peaked your interest.

It was a bit fat. This one is my personal best. That was at 13,900. They run better fat in the real world and it's safer. That goes for all worksaws in my opinion.

I'm still wondering how they can suck all that air through that little air injection do hickey. I wonder if frogskins will help on the AF cover.

The 262 won't rev like an 036 will. I'm still wondering why. Port geometry is superior to the 036.

Hey, at least they are orange.

Lol. Excellent job. Maybe the coil limits upper RPM's?
