I'm thinking the 505 should be called Woodshark super and the 655 Woodshark magnum?Don...this is a very strong saw for stock. Though at this point the only thing still stock on it is the p&c.
I'm convinced it'll give a 390 a run after it's ported.
I've already got it pulled back apart to get started. I should be done tonight.I'm liking the sound of that, we'll literally and figuratively.
@WagnerwerksSort of off topic, but does anyone here know of reasonable option cost-wise for a MS290 coil? I'm getting a 290 off of one friend, in need of a coil, to help out another friend who's family is fairly hard up and wants to cut His own wood... If he had the experience of running a ported saw safely I might give Him one of mine, but he's not there yet and I don't want to set Him up for failure or a bad situation...

I think that's pretty much the same coil as used from the 021 on up to the 460 or 660. Most of the difference between them is plug wire length. I think it was @Definitive Dave who posted a sweet thread on coils and their corresponding part numbers to flywheels, or something like that. I can't find it or I'd post a link for you.Sort of off topic, but does anyone here know of reasonable option cost-wise for a MS290 coil?
