Don...this is a very strong saw for stock. Though at this point the only thing still stock on it is the p&c.
I'm convinced it'll give a 390 a run after it's ported.
I'm thinking the 505 should be called Woodshark super and the 655 Woodshark magnum?

Sort of off topic, but does anyone here know of reasonable option cost-wise for a MS290 coil? I'm getting a 290 off of one friend, in need of a coil, to help out another friend who's family is fairly hard up and wants to cut His own wood... If he had the experience of running a ported saw safely I might give Him one of mine, but he's not there yet and I don't want to set Him up for failure or a bad situation...

You can get AM ones on EBay for less than $15 shipped, and under $30 w/carb.

I think that's pretty much the same coil as used from the 021 on up to the 460 or 660. Most of the difference between them is plug wire length. I think it was @Definitive Dave who posted a sweet thread on coils and their corresponding part numbers to flywheels, or something like that. I can't find it or I'd post a link for you.
