I think we need more build threads. Many of you have seen me build a 26. I don't get bored with them.

This saw turned out well. Has the dreaded 026 off idle issue if you let it idle too long.

I didn't have a great amount of time or wood to make videos with.

The big wood is hard red oak. It's not rotten, and the saw pulls like a freight train through it.

The second wood is soft cedar.

Please let me post up pics before responding. I'm not that quick.

This saw has .046 off the base. 105/123/76. .025 flywheel key advance.

Here's a 26 piston that @Deets066 milled the dome off for me.

I do a bunch of this model, so Deets helped me out.

Nice work sir. Randy showed me those circlip tools last time I was at his place. I'd love to have one they make installation a breeze

looks good al what bar and chain are you running and why the idle bug

Clean saw! Port work is impeccable as always Al! Runs good. It didn't like having the bar buried, chips weren't clearing, but that wood is too big for an 026 anyways.

mine loves wood and i am now running the picco on mine also it is hungry for more wood

Idle issue common.

With the porting and advance, they like to be a tad richer at idle. But they tend to puddle fuel and stall when you pull the trigger.

Let it idle for under 15 seconds, no issues.
