That looks fragile. Not much cast iron holding above the intake. Your effort impresses the crap out of me!

If I do decide to use them. It would just be 2 ports that poke through the new sleeve.

Once it was finished. It would look like a 6 transfer engine.

Have my piston ordered. Not much can happen until I receive it.

55mm, 1mm ring centered pin.

So I guess I'm going to change directions for a min... going to do a 50mm 044 cylinder. Still 73.85cc. I think it can be stronger than my echo 50mm... which was only a couple seconds behind the 52, 54mm saws.

Me too, I've always wanted one.

I'm going to try and make this 50mm rather sporty.. 20" bar saw.

YES! This is the one that needs to be built Joe. Bet the 50mm turns out mega strong.

Got the sleeve out, boost ports roughed in.

Looks like it has seen better days... Sure hope I can make it run again.

Plan on boring it out .015 ish to clean everything up. Once the piston shows up, I will make the sleeve to fit the new bore.

Has been a fun project so far, hope you all have enjoyed the struggle....

044 all welded. This one took a bit more weld to get to the width.


Cleaned up my template. Easier to trace the base and make them match.

Everything I've read says it should be fine with an iron bore. Guess time will tell.
