Jeez,

Afterthought, grind in a tonsil or Mickey Mouse it like IH next time?

Think top ring wearing at that roof or vice/versa?

I bet it lives. Personally I’d run it more and see if the rings wear into the bore. Maybe a light honing with a 3 stone?

That is the sad thing, i didn't raise intake roof at all. Just blended it, and said oops....

After all the boring, plus raising the jug the roof got away from me.

I'll measure and see if the bore moved/permanent distort. I'm thinking once it is hot the blue spots really suck to the jug walls.

It is free porting above the intake, can't see it with a light. This is the dirtiest saw I've ever see for 5 min of runtime. Look at the deposits in the transfer tunnels.

I ordered a new piston hyway big bore pop up. I'm going to drop the jug, run both rings. Give it so much cold compression it can't possibly lose it all hot.

Well maybe 3rd time will be the charm...

I have some larger od sleeve stock.

Open the jug another .015-20 get it good and round again. Turn o.d and i.d of new sleeve and try again.

Aim higher. Edison failed a 1000 times before he got the lightbulb right;)

I was afraid...

Forgot as the bore gets bigger the intake goes higher... That is both rings in the intake port.
And that's a bummer. But u could make another sleeve and make the intake roof lower and fill the intake bore with jb

Ok, change of plan.

After some mulling over, lots of head scratching. Good conversations, and even a nap..

I am going to toss out the 56mm sleeve idea. Just not enough material for the sleeve to stay put. I had heard .080 minimum wall thickness, just didn't want to believe it.

Plan b
Sleeve to 54mm
Add transfer dividers, make bottom fed to match the case.

I'll use a 660 piston because i have it.

Open to 54mm 12mm pin full circle ideas

Save my pennies and send out a cylinder to be bored and plated 56mm

The 54mm will leave me with .100 wall minimum. Well within the range i need.

Have dualing 86's ...

Dual port vs quad..
