Unsurprisingly, I did the same thing ugh. Mattyo pointed out the error of my ways and all is well now. 5 minutes on the lathe and she's good as new. Now... on to the next mess-up.

One thing I have mentioned in the past is that I never pursued a patent with this, though I do believe it was likely possible. 200 kits is quite a bit, but originally I figured this project *might* require a total of 1000 units worldwide (making a patent irrelevant). Based on the fact that our society is becoming more and more driven towards planned obsolescence, fewer and fewer saws are getting rebuilt. however, as the hobby grows online, as online forums continue to be seedbeds of inspiration and ambition, who knows. Happy to be doing this and I'm looking forward to organizing a few other products as well. So far all my eggs are in one basket here and I haven't felt really comfortable with the project until perhaps just now. I have a good machinist / supply of these things and can continue this indefinitely. I'm still working on improving things whilst keeping the whole shoot as simple as possible.

I did make a change in my kit.....

I turned the supplied carriage bolt into a Tee handle.

No charge for the idea....

Have you tried cutting any wood with them yet? They'll never break sitting on a shelf.
