If the 046 is the D chamber and you decide not to keep it -- let me know. I'll come pick it up as the cylinder I use for a Hybrid project :D
And if I make the ride to the hills, I am buying lunch or supper at your favorite STEAK venue. It's all good, we can do this :aaaaa:

Ok Ok, here's some pics. I had to wait to get to a computer to upload from sd card. I hope some of you Stihl guys can comment on the cylinders. I noticed the 046 jug has a smaller combustion chamber than the 460's. also the mufflers are different and the 460's seem more restricted.

no chance Tor. I am a husky man but I have to admit that Stihl is a very well built saw.

Keep a close eye on the handles. The knuckle/dog bone are weak links in the handles. Many times someone gets the bar stuck and jerks the saw back and it breaks the dog bone.

The first cylinder pictured is a "D" shaped cylinder. The combustion chamber looks like a "D". I'm sure Randy will pipe in here soon.

Didn't it have a decomp? I thought D chambers did not have decomps?

Anybody seen a piston do this? These came out of the 460's.
