To me the 661 isn't any lighter than a 395 and I love my 395 for falling,it's all I ever log with but I could switch to a 661 very easy. Power wise and vibe wise it's a wash but the husky will destroy the stihl with the airfilter system.


Stihl has definitely reached another level with the 661,what the 461 is to the 460 the same applies to the 661 to the 660

I still like the 395 look over the 661. They're still a little odd looking.
I thought the same mike but a 661 is growing on me,I got a nice 461 and I'm selling most of my other saws and buying a 661 so I'm beginning to really like one.
Very simple to port as well.
I even like the mtronic very well.

I think the 661 with a maxflow and a good fitting cover would rival the 394/395 filtration
